The Arts

Art comes in many forms. 

Manassas knows that art adds richness to a culture and brings diversity to the local economy. That's why in 2009 the Virginia General Assembly designated Historic Downtown as an Arts and Tourism District – one of only 13 art districts in the Commonwealth.

For starters, there’s the ARTfactory (housed in the former Hopkins Candy Factory built in 1908), which offers an art gallery, theatre arts education and performances, visual arts education, dance classes, summer camps, and musical performances. 

Discover a variety of performances at Hylton Performing Arts Center or at the outdoor Harris Pavilion near the train tracks. Local galleries, art and pottery studios are more ways to explore our creative arts scene.
