🚂 All Aboard the VRE Santa Train: Don't miss the 2026 Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Santa Train! Passengers young and old love this annual tradition of round-trip excursions from Historic Downtown Manassas to a local station. VRE trains depart from the Manassas Railroad Depot at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.
In-person tickets ($5 per person cash or check, $6 per person credit card payment) go on sale Mon., Nov. 30, from 10 a.m.-noon, at designated vendor locations.
Online tickets are available Tues., Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. through Eventbrite until sold out. All tickets are non-refundable and all passengers — regardless of age — require a ticket. NOTE: Regular VRE tickets will not be honored for this special event, and tickets WILL NOT be sold at the station the day of the train rides, and must be purchased prior to the event. (Tickets are non-refundable and are limited to six per person.)
VRE Santa Trains work in conjunction with Marine Corps Toys for Tots, so visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to the Santa Train so gifts can go to less fortunate children in the Virginia area. VRE will not collect cash donations onboard, but donations can be made online at Toys for Tots.
