The whirling dervish are famous for their endlessly spinning dances, which were actually a moving prayer designed to induce a meditative state and bring the dancer closer to God. In this camp, children ages 6–12 will learn how to spin for long stretches of time, maintain balance, and control dizziness. They will also learn some simple hand motions to add visual interest.

This camp will meet for six sessions from 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. on Fridays, June 3rd–July 8th. Practice sessions will be held both in our in-person studio in Manassas, VA and virtually via Zoom.
