Gingerbread House Contest

The Gingerbread House must be ready for display and delivered to Old Town Visitors Center at 9431 West Street, between Monday, November 18th and Wednesday, November 20th between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Entries must be boxed appropriately for safe transportation by Historic Manassas, Inc. to local businesses. Entries not boxed appropriately will not be accepted.


Judging will be done by the public. Houses will be on display in various Old Town shops for public viewing and for shoppers to cast their votes for their favorite entry from Sunday, December 1st, through Saturday, December 14th. Votes may also be cast at

Votes will be tabulated and the winners will be notified after 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18th.

Winners will be officially announced on Wednesday, December 18th. Each category will be awarded a $100.00 first prize, $75.00 second prize and $50.00 third prized in Old Town Gift Cards:

Ii. Child Individual

*Community groups may submit one entry within the appropriate age group. These groups are limited to schools, senior centers and non-profit organizations.


If you wish to pick up your entry, it must be picked up from the business in which it is on display on either Friday, December 20th, or Saturday, December 21st. Remaining, in tact entries not picked up by the close of business on Saturday, December 21st will be donated to charity. Houses remaining but not in tact will be disposed of.
