Come out on the First Friday of each month (excluding January) and enjoy all that Historic Downtown Manassas has to offer! First Friday events provide a fun way to interact with the community while experiencing Downtown Manassas. Participating First Friday locations agree to stay open until 9 pm and often provide a fun game, special discount, or activity that fits the shared theme for the month. From unique shops and a variety of dining options to live music at outdoor venues, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Join us on Friday, June 7th from 6 pm – 9 pm for a Battle of the Bands!
Located in Downtown Manassas, this event will feature a Battle of the Bands at Harris Pavilion with multiple local bands competing! Judging the competition will be local musicians Deron Blevins (co-owner of Shining Sol Candle Co.), Ken Moorman (owner of Jirani Coffeehouse), and Billy Wiseman (manager of Three Monkeys Pub & Chophouse).
Each hour of the battle will have three different bands, each playing for 15 minutes.
6 pm – 7 pm will feature High School bands.
7 pm – 8 pm will featuring Garage Bands that are just starting out and looking for the opportunity to perform. This may even be their first gig!
8 pm – 9 pm will feature Professional/Gig-Seeking Bands. These are bands that are already playing gigs and looking for additional exposure and opportunity.
Grab dinner to-go at one of our fantastic local restaurants and come to the Pavilion to support the talented musicians of Manassas, VA!
The downtown merchants will be featuring special activities and sales for the evening! More to come on what they will be offering!
